Basic principle of ultrafast optical spectrogram scope (OSS) ¨Japanese

Diagram of basic principle of OSS

In this system, with the time-space conversion system consisting of a high performance diffractive grating*, an optical filter*, and two cylindrical lenses, temporal waveforms of ultrashort optical pulses are converted into ultrafast line-scanning versions of spectral distribution, and then interfered with the collimated gate pulse. Analyzing the interference pattern, a two dimensional image (spectrogram) can be obtained in real time*, in which time-dependent spectral distribution of ultrashort optical pulses is shown in the time and spectral domains. Refering spectrogram, time-dependent spectral distribution and precise waveforms of ultrashort optical pulses* can be measured and analyzed.
