Spectrogram of ultrashort double pulses
An optical spectrogram scope (OSS) is an innovative measurement system that can measure variation of waveforms of ultrashort (sub-picosecond) optical pulses in real-time, which had not been achieved. With commercialization of this system, it becomes possible to measure and analyze; 1) a precise waveform and time-dependent spectral distribution of an ultrashort single optical pulse transmitted through optical fiber, and 2) those of transitional absorption spectra of light produced from materials hit with ultrashort optical pulses. It becomes an useful tool to investigate ultrafast and/or ultrashort phenomena in the fields of optical communication, material science, and nanotechnology.
