Nanoimprinting technique

In the nanoimprinting process, as shown below, a mold is pressed on the polymer, forming a microstructure. This technique can use either thermoplastic or photocuring resin. The purpose of this research is to use these techniques to fabricate high aspect ratio structures for optical elements.

1j Integrated ultra-microscopic patterns can be efficiently printed.
2j Lower equipment and maintenance costs.
3j Expensive resists are not needed.
4j Various cross-sectional forms can be formed.
5j Development and dry etching are not needed, therefore it is safer for the environment.
